area is served by 3 airports, as follows: - Alicanti:
Approx 2hrs drive, motorway direct from the airport exit, served by most
‘Low-Cost’ and Charter airlines from U.K. airports. Almeria:
Approx 45mins drive, the most convenient airport to Vera Playa. The motorway is
just a short distance from the airport, The ‘Low-Cost’ airlines are now
scheduling flights to this small airport, Charter flights readily
available. Murcia:
Approx 1hr 45mins drive, dual-carriageway direct from the airport leading to the
motorway, a few navigation skills required to ensure the correct slip-road is
taken on joining different sections of motorways, however traffic (to-date) is
always light. A small airport, which again is served by
‘Low-Cost’ & Charter airlines. Further
details can be provided as to airlines serving the above airports and
help/advice freely given in making such bookings. Car-Hire: We
would like to recommend that a car is hired for your stay. There is large choice
of Rental Companies that serve the above airports. Savings can be made by making
your booking on the Internet, and in most case’s with no deposit and payment
on arrival by credit card. A valid U.K. driving licence is obviously
required. Car-hire
is also available locally, however prices seem higher than internet pre-booking
for collection at the airports. We
have our regular rent-a-car companies that we use, and we would be happy to pass
on details of these companies if required. Arrival & Departure Pick-up & Return. Should you decide not to hire a car during your stay, we can arrange transport to and from the airports at cost through our property management company. Payment is payable locally in Euro's.
